Thanks to the Colorado Garden Foundation !!!

In conjunction with a Colorado Garden Foundation Grant, the Bell Tower Community Garden is thriving under the leadership of Terri Baker (pictured above at right). 

With help of the Florence Bell Tower volunteers, there were 5 stations organized by Terri for over 80 Florence Second Grade Students. The community garden was planted while the kids learned more about gardening and identifying seeds. 

While the garden is intended to help children experience the joy and wonder of seeing things grow, picking their own vegetables or herbs and then utilizing them in a healthy recipe, it is our hope that all ages in the community can come experience the garden during the summer and fall.

Help yourself to veggies or herbs -we have recipes inside
if you don't already have a favorite recipe.   

This is an opportunity for Students to enjoy the Community Garden and learn how to paint Plein Air (outside)  Class will be held in the Community Garden and Courtyard on August 19th from 10-3.  

Students can come for the whole day or only part.  

Class is free to Students and art supplies are provided!  What a Deal!
